Major Moscow's Assaults Cut Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles struck the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and three other people were injured.

The strikes succeed periods of air raids in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for more assaults.
